OVERCOMING ANXIETY

Natural anxiety relief

ANXIETY IS SOMETHING THAT WE ALL FEEL AT TIMES, BUT WHEN YOU START TO FEEL IT MOST OR ALL OF THE TIME IT BECOMES A REAL PROBLEM.

A small amount of anxiety is healthy and serves as a warning system; it helps us to focus on things that need to be dealt with urgently. Back in our early days, the fight-or-flight response gave us a boost of adrenaline that would increase our heart rate and oxygen intake, enabling us to run from dangerous situations such as a predatory animal. It was a short term solution to an immediate problem, and we could return to normal as soon as the danger had passed.

These days, the many stresses of everyday life can repeatedly trigger the anxiety response; those adrenaline boosts don't get burned off and the stress builds in your body.

A fast, irregular or racing heartbeat

Sweating or hot flushes

Churning stomach or feeling sick

Tightness in the chest

Dry mouth

Feeling dizzy or light headed

Shortness of breath

Tension headaches

Sleep problems

Panic attacks

These symptoms interfere with daily activities and are out of proportion to the situation

COMMON SYMPTOMS OF ANXIETY

THE CONTROL SYSTEM IS A FAST, EFFECTIVE HYPNOSIS METHOD TO ACHIEVE CLEAR, MEASURABLE RESULTS

Anxiety should pass as soon as the event causing it passes, but this often doesn't happen. When we start to feel anxious, as we inevitably will at some point, our fear of it getting out of control may cause us to constantly scan ourselves for these symptoms. Our anxiety can amplify in a kind of feedback loop: we become anxious about being anxious. Every small stressor that’s added increases the anxiety until one small, trivial thing can send us into a full-blown panic attack. It begins to affect our sleep, leading to further difficulty in coping with daily life.

THIS CAN BECOME A HUGE PROBLEM WHEN WE BECOME FEARFUL OF SITUATIONS WE CONSCIOUSLY UNDERSTAND ARE QUITE SAFE.

Hypnosis allows you to stop fearing the feeling of normal levels of anxiety and get back control of your thoughts and responses.

You can't control the world around you, but the one thing you CAN learn to control is your emotional response to any situation.

My job is to guide your subconscious mind to respond differently, allowing you to deal with stress calmly and confidently.

You are not ill!

Let's get your anxiety under control.

MOST COMMON TYPES OF ANXIETY

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is the most common type of anxiety disorder. Your doctor may diagnose you with GAD if you feel anxious most days over six months and it's seriously impacting your daily life.

Social anxiety, or social phobia, is an intense fear or dread of social situations. This may make you feel like you're going to do or say something embarrassing, prevents you from connecting with others and leads to loneliness, depression and withdrawal from the world.

Health anxiety is an irrational and obsessive worry about having a serious medical problem. It can cause you to scan your body for the smallest of sensations and symptoms; your thoughts can become consumed with fear and uncertainty. Obsessive worry about minor symptoms can even make the symptoms more intense, increasing the anxiety.

Panic Disorder could be diagnosed if you suffer from regular panic attacks with no specific trigger. They can be very frightening and intense. The fear of having another panic attack increases your general anxiety.

WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY

"My anxiety had got so bad I was having panic attacks most days. I'm very unhappy in my job and that was making it worse but I was too scared to go for interviews. Since seeing Claire I can't believe how much more calm I feel. I've started applying for other jobs and I'm not as worried about the interviews. I feel like I can cope with them much better and not panic, now I'm not as worried about the future anymore."
